Analytics

GRIDD pulls in your Instagram performance data so you can see what is working, understand your audience better, and let your Creative Director make strategy recommendations grounded in real numbers — not guesswork.

Current platforms: Analytics currently supports Instagram. More platforms are coming soon.

Connecting Your Instagram Account

GRIDD only needs your public Instagram username to pull in your analytics — no login credentials, no API keys, and no platform permissions required.

  1. Navigate to Analytics

Click Analytics in the left navigation bar. If you have not connected an account yet, you will see the account connection screen.

  2. Enter your Instagram username

Type your public Instagram handle (without the @ symbol) and click Connect. Your account must be public for GRIDD to access it.

  3. Wait for the initial sync

GRIDD will fetch your recent posts and performance data. This usually takes 30–60 seconds for the first sync.

  4. Your analytics are ready

Once the sync is complete, your dashboard populates with charts and metrics from your recent posts.

Important: Analytics only works with public Instagram accounts. If your account is private, GRIDD cannot access your post data. You will need to temporarily set your account to public during the sync, or switch to a Creator/Business account which provides more data access.

Understanding Your Analytics Dashboard

The Analytics dashboard shows your performance at a glance through stat cards and detailed charts. Here is what each section shows you:

Overview stat cards

  • Total Likes — Cumulative likes across all your recent posts.
  • Total Comments — Total comments across all your recent posts.
  • Followers — Your current follower count.
  • Engagement Rate — Your average engagement rate (likes + comments divided by followers) across your recent posts. Industry average for Instagram is 1–3%.

Charts and graphs

  • Engagement Timeline — A line chart showing how engagement has changed across your recent posts over time. Look for upward or downward trends.
  • Post Comparison — A side-by-side bar chart comparing the performance of your recent posts. Quickly see which posts outperformed others.
  • Post Type Breakdown — A breakdown of your performance by post type (Reels vs carousels vs static images). See which format your audience responds to best.
  • Engagement Rate Chart — Your engagement rate plotted per post, making it easy to see consistency and spikes.
  • Likes vs Comments — A comparison chart showing the ratio of likes to comments. A post with high comments relative to likes often indicates strong emotional resonance.
  • Best Day to Post — Based on your historical data, a breakdown of which days of the week tend to generate the most engagement for your account.

Using analytics with your Creative Director: Ask your Creative Director in the Ideation chat to "analyse my recent Instagram performance and suggest what I should do differently". It will pull your analytics data and give you specific, data-backed recommendations for your next content cycle.

Managing Multiple Accounts

If you manage multiple Instagram accounts — for example, a personal account and a brand account — you can connect all of them to GRIDD and switch between them using the account switcher at the top of the Analytics page.

Syncing Your Data

GRIDD syncs your Instagram data automatically on a schedule you choose. You can set the sync frequency to anywhere between once a day and once every 7 days, depending on how active you are.

If you want to see your latest data right now without waiting for the next scheduled sync, click the Sync Now button on the Analytics page.

Disconnecting an account

To remove an Instagram account from GRIDD, click the account switcher, select the account you want to remove, and choose Disconnect. This removes the account and all associated analytics data from GRIDD.

Note: Disconnecting an account does not affect your actual Instagram account in any way. GRIDD only reads your data — it never writes to or manages your Instagram account.
