My Ideas Feel Generic or Off-Brand
This is almost always a Brand Document issue. The AI can only generate ideas as specific and relevant as the context you have given it.
- Check your Audience Profile section. Is it specific enough? "Entrepreneurs" is too broad. "Bootstrapped SaaS founders in their first year, struggling with churn" gives the AI something to work with.
- Check your Goals & Direction section. If you have not clearly defined what your content is meant to achieve, the AI is guessing.
- Use the Enrich feature. Upload your best-performing posts, media kit, or a personal bio. The AI extracts nuance from real examples that questionnaires often miss.
- Start rejecting more ideas. Each rejection with a specific reason teaches the AI what not to do, which often improves results faster than adding information.
My Scripts Do Not Sound Like Me
This usually means your style preferences have not been built up yet, or your Brand Document's Creator Profile section is incomplete.
- Add your Creator Story. Go to Settings → Brand Document and fill in the Creator Story & Transformation section. This gives the AI your voice, background, and the narrative through-line of your personal brand.
- Generate a few scripts and approve preferences. After each script, make edits that reflect your real voice. When GRIDD asks "Save this as a style preference?", say yes to the ones that genuinely reflect how you speak. After 5–10 preferences, scripts will start sounding much more like you.
- Use the script chat bar to give explicit tone instructions. Start with "Make this sound like I am speaking directly to a friend — casual, direct, no fluff" and approve that as a preference.
Script Generation Feels Slow or Stops Mid-Way
Script generation streams in real time and can take 20–45 seconds depending on the length and complexity. If it stops before finishing:
- Check your internet connection. A dropped connection mid-stream will interrupt generation. If this happens, click the regenerate button to try again.
- Try a different browser. GRIDD works best in Chrome or Edge. Safari and Firefox occasionally have streaming issues.
- Check your credit balance. If you run out of credits mid-generation, the stream will stop. Check your balance in Settings → Plan.
I Cannot See a Page That Should Be There
If you are a Member (not an Admin or Owner) and a page like Analytics or Knowledge is not visible in your sidebar, your access to that page has likely been turned off by your workspace admin.
- Contact your workspace owner or admin and ask them to enable that page for your account in Settings → Team → [Your Name] → Page Permissions.
My Instagram Analytics Are Not Loading
- Make sure your account is public. GRIDD cannot fetch data from private accounts.
- Try a manual sync. Click the Sync Now button on the Analytics page to force a fresh data pull.
- Check the username. Make sure you entered your handle without the @ symbol and that the spelling is correct.
- New accounts may have limited data. Instagram accounts with fewer than 10 posts or very recent accounts may show limited or empty charts.
A Team Member Did Not Receive Their Invitation Email
- Ask them to check their spam folder. Invitation emails occasionally get filtered by spam.
- Revoke and resend the invitation. Go to Settings → Team → Pending Invites, revoke the invite, and send a new one.
- Double-check the email address. Make sure there are no typos in the email you entered.
- Invitation links expire after 7 days. If it has been more than a week, resend the invitation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use GRIDD for multiple brands?
Each GRIDD workspace is tied to one brand. If you manage multiple brands, you will need a separate GRIDD workspace for each one. Each workspace has its own Brand Document, ideas, scripts, and team.
Does GRIDD post content for me?
No. GRIDD is a content creation and strategy tool — it helps you plan, generate, and manage your content pipeline. Publishing directly to social platforms is not currently supported. You take the finalised script, film it, and post it through your normal workflow.
Who owns the content GRIDD generates?
You do. All scripts, ideas, and content generated using GRIDD belong to you. GRIDD does not retain any rights to content created in your workspace.
Can I export my scripts?
You can copy any script from the Script Editor and paste it into your preferred tool — Google Docs, Notion, Notes, or wherever you keep your final scripts. Dedicated export functionality is on the product roadmap.
Is my Brand Document data private?
Yes. Your Brand Document is private to your workspace. It is not shared with other GRIDD users and is not used to train AI models. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
What AI models does GRIDD use?
GRIDD uses a multi-model setup, combining the best available models depending on the task. Grid AI (standard) and Grid AI Pro each use a different combination of models — Pro uses the most advanced tier available for higher-quality output. Research features use live web search to ground ideas and knowledge documents in real-time information. You can switch between Grid AI and Grid AI Pro at any time in Settings → My Details.
Does GRIDD work on mobile?
GRIDD is designed primarily for desktop use, where the full two-panel Ideation view and Script Editor work best. The app is accessible on mobile browsers, but for the best experience — particularly for script generation and editing — we recommend using a laptop or desktop.
